They sprouted Indian Corn by laying an ear of corn in water and putting it in the windowsill!

TRUNK OR TREAT!

We had a great turn out for Trunk or Treat! Thank you to all of the families that volunteered and decorated their trunks! 

WDS is very blessed to have such awesome families!

    

On Friday afternoon, WDS received a very important phone call from Erin Schmidt of the National Accreditation Commission for Early Learning Leaders.  Her one word was enough--Congratulations! WDS has  been awarded accreditation through NAC, a national organization that recognizes the achievements of outstanding early childhood education programs.  

This has been a 3-year process. The effort and commitment of all the staff at WDS has paid off!  There is a 90 day action plan that will be completed, and WDS will  join the ranks of nationally accredited schools with this distinction!  

You will now see the NAC logo proudly displayed on all of the WDS communications, giving us a higher ranking for both retaining and engaging qualified, licensed educators, and attracting families to our school who understand the importance of quality early childhood education.

Please take the time to thank your child's teacher for a job well done! WUMC has treated both students and staff to a lunchtime celebration today in recognition of this amazing accomplishment.  We take great pride in kicking off the new school year with such a distinction, and looking forward to amazing year together.

We kicked off the summer with a Luau Picnic! With it being so hot, we had to move the celebration into the cafeteria!!
