WDS Patriotic Party!

We had a blast celebrating U.S.A's birthday today at our WDS Patriotic Party! All of the children put on such great performances!

From the Two's singing "Yankee Doodle"

To the Three's re-enacting the battle of Yorktown, reciting a poem about Betsy Ross,
or moving and grooving to the tunes of Yankee Doodle

Pre-K really had a good time singing fun patriotic songs!

Kindergarten sang "Yankee Doodle" and "God Bless the U.S.A" beautifully

and After School wrapped up our party by singing "Firework"

Thanks to all of the parents that came and the hard working students and teachers!

On Friday, our two-year-olds had a great time doing their Community Helpers parade!

The second week of our summer session sure has been a busy one!

The 2's had a great time visiting with the Fire Department and checking out the Fire Truck for their Community Helpers week!

and the 3's had a great trip to the zoo for their animal antics week!

End of the School Year Celebration!

We had a great time at end of the school year party on Friday! 

The children certainly enjoyed their ice cream cones from Ice Cream Connection and the show from Jonathan the Juggler!

NOW.. LET SUMMER BEGIN!

Summer has arrived and with it comes our increased chances of severe weather!

This afternoon, we do have a line of severe storms moving through our area. When in a severe weather watch, we monitor the weather radio and keep our eyes on the local radar. 

In the event of a severe weather warning or power outage, students are relocated to the bottom floor. If there were to be a weather emergency, parents would be notified by email. In the event the school was to lose powers, teachers and staff would notify parents by using their cell phones (the school phone line does not work without power). Please respond to these numbers only if you need to make immediate contact, as we will need to have these open for additional communication.
